✂ DIY Glitter Flats

Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a wonderful day. I just uploaded my first DIY video on youtube.... for Glitter Flats! You can watch the video here.
I first got the idea for this DIY while cleaning out my closet. I confess that I am a hoarder, and still have stuff from my primary school days. While cleaning, I found a pair of flats that were still pretty sturdy, but had faded. Not wanting to throw them away, I thought of how I could reinvent them.
Lately across tumblr I've been coming across all things glitter. And decided to create glitter flats. All you need is....
         - A pair of flats or any other kind of shoe
         - Mod Podge
         - A paint brush
         - Glitter
The process to make these shoes was very messy. But then again anything involving glitter usually is. So I had to make sure that I covered up my workspace with newspaper. The glitter was also hard to work with, so I suggest using a straight edged paper like a business card or tag to pick up fallen glitter. It's easier to aim where you want the glitter to go.
Mod podge is amazing. You can basically do anything you want with it. In the DIY I used it as both glue and gloss. In my experience, mod podge is much stronger than gloss. By using mod podge, your shoe is more likely last longer. There will be way less glitter fall out. As a side note: once you're done with the mod podge make sure to clean your paint brush with warm water. Otherwise the brush will harden.
Here are some pictures of my shoe:
