A Day at the Met

Last week I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with a few of my classmates. As a child I've visited the Met many times but it never gets old. Every time I go I discover something new. Also who gets tired of looking at Monets and Van Goghs? Not to mention The Great Wave off Kanagawa. That has to be by far my most favorite piece of art. I have leggings (from BlackMilk Clothing) and a tablet cover with the Great Wave print on them ^^ You could say that I'm a Great Wave Fanatic.
Since this was my 5th time at the Met I focused on the less popular exhibits. However I really wanted to see the Egyptian temple again. Did you know that it was built for Julius Caesar in Egypt? Anyway, apparently some office rented the space in which the temple was contained for a holiday party =.= Okayyyy then.
Instead of little pins the Met hands out stickers now :(
The Lighting in the Met is soooo nice

After wandering around for a long time we decided to eat. Unfortunately the food inside was sooooo expensive. To many tourists it may not seem like a money, but the street carts serve good food for cheap :) I would recommend that over the Met food any day... although the cupcakes do look good T.T

My friends and I ate outside on the famous Met steps. The happiness of eating was killed, however, when my classmate made the mistake of feeding one of the pigeons. WARNING: NYC pigeons are NOT your average pigeon. They are vultures in disguise. Once you feed one, they all flock towards and will follow you around. We all retreated into the Met once again, but I noticed that the birds would fly around in circle around the steps 8 times then swoop down. *shudder* NYC pigeons are vultures.

My classmates began to imitate the art work. Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?

Whenever I go to the Met I see artists painting the great works. It never fails to astonish me how talented some people are :O

And last but certainly not the least, I leave you with one of my favorite paintings :)
