DIY Halloween: Popart Comic Girl and NYC Comic Con 2014

This year I was lucky enough to snag a NYC Comic Con ticket for Sunday. I love dressing up and getting into costume so naturally I had to decide whom I would cosplay as. At first I wanted to go as the Mockingjay from Catching Fire, but decided that the wings I made for the costume would be burdensome in large crowds (but don't worry I'll make a video on how to make those wings).

I finally decided to go as the comic girl from Roy Lichtenstein's pop art painting.

Here is the tutorial:

This is everything I used:

- NickaK Faboulous Lashes in EL0725 : http://bit.ly/ZX7qIV
- Urban Decay Electric Palette: Gonzo and Jilted : http://bit.ly/1tpiT0J
- Rimmel Londen Face Primer : http://bit.ly/1o8d59W
- Em Costmetics Eye Primer : http://bit.ly/1syYkg6
- Revlon BB Cream : http://bit.ly/1syY68J
- Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipstick in Marigold : http://amzn.to/1sCKNVY
- NYX Jumbo Crayon in Milk: http://bit.ly/1z5tkZY
- Milani Liquid Eyeliner: http://bit.ly/1njKMEE

Before the dots went on, my face looked spooky.

Comic Con this year was so-so. But I was able to go to the Woman in Marvel panel as well as the Avatar the Last Airbender/Korra panel where I meet Jessie Flower, the voice of Toph Bei Fong :)

Not to mention all of the free/super discounted things I was able to get:

According to my pedometer app, at the end of the day I had walked a total of 13 miles. But it was worth it.

Peace, Love, and Hijabs,
Naila <3
